Can I be added to a course waitlist?

Waitlists will not be utilized for most first-year classes during the initial registration period in July. We strongly encourage all first year students to register for open courses, rather than adding a waitlist. There is no guarantee that a seat will become available in a waitlisted course, and it is extremely important to have at least 12 registered credits to maintain full-time student status.
If you happen to find yourself on a waitlist, please refer to our waitlist guide so you know what to do if/when a seat becomes available. Waitlisted courses will be removed from first-year student schedules when the initial registration period ends at the end of the July, so you should plan accordingly with alternate options. If necessary, students will have the option to use waitlists again after coming to campus for orientation.
